With health as their starting point, the pair lead by example through persistence and mutual dedication, enabling happiness to take root and flourish within their team.

The Nutrition Leader in the Team

Annette used to work as a financial consultant, but her passion for numbers was far outweighed by her devotion to nutrition outside of work. It all started when their eldest son was seven months old. His health was fragile and, as parents, she and Li were deeply concerned, hoping to find a solution for their boy’s problems. A doctor once told her something became etched on her heart, that “doctors treat illnesses, but the true guardian of health is yourself”. With no medication available at the time, she began to discover more about the value of nutrition. A year later, she came across Nutrilite — a turning point that further established her role as the team’s go-to “nutrition leader” and laid a solid foundation for her future full-time commitment in the Amway business. 

Annette was already familiar with Amway through her time living in Canada, where she was a long-term user of the company’s beauty, skincare and home tech products. But it was only after she began studying nutrition that she began using Amway’s nutritional supplements. “Gaining a new understanding of Amway became the catalyst for my full commitment to the business,” she says. 

A Steady Anchor for the Team

Li has always been Annette’s strongest support in building their Amway business. “At first, I didn’t know much about Amway,” he shares. “But when Annette was invited to attend a leadership seminar in Sydney, it left a deep impression on me. That inspired me to join her in working to build a successful business together.” If Annette is the team’s nutrition leader, then Li is the “steady anchor” of their business. Whenever challenges arise, his attentive approach helps steady things in the team and keep everyone focused on their goals, overcoming obstacles step by step by steering a clear direction.

Li actively supports Annette through his actions, offering practical advice at critical moments, reminding her to follow up with less active partners and ensuring that she doesn’t push forward alone. This strong partnership and great synergy have enabled them to lead a united, forward-moving team.

Leading by Example, Success Without Limits

Li and Annette expressed their great delight at achieving the GAR Executive Diamond title. “This honor belongs to the entire team — it’s the ultimate result of our collective effort,” Annette smiled. Their decision to aim higher was driven by the team’s hunger for success and the mutual trust they had built. “As leaders, it’s even more important that we act as role models,” Li explains. “Success doesn’t happen by chance. Our partners have demonstrated a passionate desire for success and we cannot let them down.” 

Annette adds: “Fear is inevitable when facing unknown challenges, and I am no exception — I also worry about failure. But we must strive to be leaders who are consistent at all times. When challenges arise, we face them together with the team and solve them collectively.” This is the mindset that has allowed them to achieve today’s honor and help their partners succeed in the business. 

Achieving Health and Happiness

Looking back on their journey with Amway, the couple reflects on the many rewards they have gained — from improved health and in-depth nutrition knowledge to greater financial security. They have also witnessed their son’s transformation and growth during this journey. “In the Amway environment, he has developed a clear vision for the future and has strong confidence in his goals,” Li proudly shares. 

While she can speak with great confidence on stage about nutrition, Annette admits that she was once not very skilled at maintaining relationships. “Through Amway, I have learned important interpersonal communication skills that help me interact more with partners and better understand their needs. This unexpected area of growth has been highly beneficial to my leadership,” she smiles.

Asked about their A70 goal, the couple admits they initially had no specific target. “But when we saw senior leaders refusing to slow down and continuing to strive to be the best in the world, we realized we had no reason to stop!” Through their own efforts, they hope to help leaders achieve their goals and at the same time inspire partners to pursue excellence.

“Dare to dream big. We want to be a guiding light for others, helping them achieve what they set their minds to.” For Li and Annette, this truly is an abundant and rewarding life!
