What is Microplastics?
It refers to plastic particles or fibres that are less than 5mm in diameter. Their primary sources include non-biodegradable plastic items, scrubs, exfoliating products and detergents. These microplastics not only pollute the environment, but also accumulate in our body through food chain and lead to health problems.
