After a morning enjoying sightseeing at Mount Eden and Mission Bay, everyone gathered for the welcome dinner at The Maritime Room in the evening.
The event began with a traditional Māori dance performance – the haka – which involves body movements, clapping and shouting to create an enthusiastic atmosphere. Mr. Ken Pereira, a representative from the Auckland Convention Bureau, delivered a welcome speech, thanking Amway Hong Kong for choosing Auckland as the destination for its overseas seminar.
“Auckland is a vibrant city with diverse cultures, beautiful bays and a variety of exciting activities, making this ‘City of Sails’ even more attractive. I hope that everyone will enjoy an unforgettable trip to Auckland, and I am looking forward to future opportunities to work with Amway Hong Kong again,” Mr. Pereira said.
It was meaningful for everyone to come together for an overseas trip again after three years of travel restrictions due to COVID-19. General Manager of Amway Hong Kong, Ms. Amanda Kok, said: "This is our first overseas gathering after the pandemic and my first Amway Hong Kong event. I am honored to explore the beautiful city of Auckland with everyone. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our leaders for their support and commitment to Amway, and together we will create one peak after another. I hope everyone enjoys a happy journey while injecting a continuous stream of energy towards Amway Hong Kong's 50th anniversary!"
It was a great night – and the upcoming days had plenty more exciting activities for everyone to experience.
