Continuing from the previous article, we sought to bridge ancient and modern health understanding - each shaped by different interpretations of wellness. To do so, we have formed a cross team and began developing an AI platform to accelerate and support product research and development since 2012. After ten years of deep refinement, the Shennong System was created.

🖥️ Shennong System brings together five advanced databases:

• Botanical Database: Comprehensive coverage of tens of thousands of plant-derived ingredients
• Phytonutrient Database: In-depth knowledge of the nutrients and active compounds within plants
• Traditional Formula Database: Expertise in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) - its indications, dosage guidance, and theoretical foundations
• Target Nodes Database: Rapid identification of key “health nodes” across the human body
• Health Phenotype Database: Precise characterization of physiological indicators and health concerns

In the past, extensive research through thousands of years of classical literature was required to develop a new product – a process that was complex and time-consuming. Today, these five databases make it possible! It’s as though we have brought together thousands of experienced TCM practitioners and world-class scientists to guide our R&D side by side.

Our work is no longer “blind experimentation.” Instead, we build on a robust foundation of large-scale data and accumulated prior experience - allowing us to screen with greater precision and select the most suitable solutions.

🖥️ Algorithms & a “Super Brain”: Computing the Best Route Across Hundreds of Millions of Combinations

Once the five databases are established, the real work starts. Because the databases are deeply interconnected, the number of potential pairings can reach hundreds of millions.

The Shennong System operates like a “super brain.” It integrates traditional knowledge with modern scientific research, helping us compute the best route - selecting an optimal pathway from over a hundred million possible combinations of plants and health outcomes.

Use the Shennong System to run an anti-aging scenario:

• We input anti-aging–related health needs into the system
• The algorithm consolidates all relevant results, then systematically screens through the phytonutrient database to evaluate which ingredient combinations address the highest number of anti-aging factors
• Based on the screening results, we identify the most relevant plants and further optimize the ingredient combinations

In the end, the AI algorithm successfully generates a recommended set of anti-aging formula concepts.

The Shennong System has successfully used modern science to translate traditional herbal knowledge that was once understood only through subtle intuition or experience-based transmission. By doing so, it helps bridge the thousand-year communication gap between Eastern and Western scientific systems.
