Amway × Hong Kong Metropolitan University: Empowering Young Dreamers Together

Amway Hong Kong has long been committed to giving back to society, with a particular focus on nurturing the growth and development of the younger generation. In partnership with Hong Kong Metropolitan University, we established the Amway Scholarship and Amway Advancement Scholarship, donating HK$ 400,000 annually to encourage youth to pursue their ideals and achieve their dreams.

In June this year, we were honoured to invite scholarship recipients to visit the Amway Experience Center for an engaging and educational exchange with our leadership team. Through presentations from staffs, students gained deep insights into Amway’s history and culture, learned about our philosophy of healthy living, and discovered the unique appeal of our company. They also had a valuable conversation with Ms. Anna Chin, Deputy General Manager of Amway Hong Kong, discussing academics, career planning, and more. Amway firmly believes that youth are the future of society. Through this initiative, we aim to ignite their motivation to bravely pursue their dreams and demonstrate our ongoing support for youth development. Looking ahead, Amway will continue working alongside more young people to bring boundless positive energy to our community.

Wong Man Kit
Year 4, Bachelor of Sports and Recreation Management with Honours
I'm an amateur runner and have been running for over a decade. This passion has shaped my character and guided me toward the sports industry—I aspire to be a sports event organizer. Receiving the Amway Scholarship in 2025 was an incredible surprise and honour. It's not just financial support, but recognition that boosts my confidence in academics and career planning. In the future, I hope to give back through promoting healthy lifestyles and even founding an educational social enterprise.

Ting Wing Lam
Year 3, Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) in Hotel and Sustainable Tourism Management
I’ve been striving for academic excellence, earning a spot on the Dean’s List and a government scholarship, while actively volunteering and engaging in overseas programs to broaden my perspective. The Amway Scholarship came as a delightful surprise—it recognizes my hard work and eases the burden of tuition and exchange expenses. I believe tourism can promote cultural exchange and have a societal impact. My goal is to advance sustainable tourism and empower others through shared learning experiences.

Wu Ying
Year 3, Bachelor of Business Administration with Honours in Business Management
Hong Kong Metropolitan University embraces innovation and inclusiveness, with practical curriculum design that helped me join A-team for global exposure and opportunities to engage with international companies. The Amway Scholarship made me feel honoured and proud—it helped me reflect on my potential and responsibility. More than financial aid, it's encouragement that drives me to become a top-tier manager. I aim to spark social progress and share my journey with underprivileged but talented students.

Wu Hao Hui
Year 2, Bachelor of Business Administration with Honours in Business Management
My academic journey has been one of self-discovery, leading me to business management where I hope to turn my passion into a long-term career. Choosing HKMU’s School of Business allows me to gain international insight and enhance my skills in a diverse setting. Being nominated for the Amway Scholarship was deeply encouraging—it validates my efforts and propels me forward. I aim to participate in community affairs, share experiences, and support others on their journey toward their dreams.

Yeung Ho Tim
Year 2, Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) International Hospitality & Attractions Management
I was born and raised in Hong Kong and am the first in my family to attend university. I chose HKMU because of its strong balance of theory and practice, preparing me to enter the business world or start my own venture. The Amway Scholarship was a wonderful surprise and reaffirmed that hard work pays off. It eases my financial stress and allows me to join training and broaden my horizons. Inspired by Amway's commitment to education and social responsibility, I hope to create a scholarship or mentoring program in the future to support other dreamers like me.

Ngan Ka Wai
