Amway Logo and Social Media Usage Guideline

Is it allowed to use “Amway” to create social media name?

It is not allowed. The use of “Amway” in social media name will infringe the registered trademark and will cause confusion between Amway Hong Kong official social media account and Amway Business Owners’ (ABOs) personal social media account.

All Amway trademarks including “AMWAY”, “Nutrilite”, “Artistry”, “XS” and other related trademarks are intellectual properties of Amway. Therefore, unauthorized use of related names in social media name, account name or page name without the company’s prior permission is not permitted.

If ABO needs to use image related to Amway to share his/her usage tips online, he/she can obtain the company’s trademarks, logo artworks, product images and other company’s images from Amway Resource Center without prior approval from the company. It is allowed for ABO to use Amway-owned brand names (text only) under “About me” and “Personal Information” on social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram or other websites, to describe his/her relationship with Amway.

Examples:

1. ABO creates a Facebook® page and describes himself/herself as “Amway Business Owner (ABO). Passionate about slimming and weight management. DM me if you are interested.” under “Personal Information”. This is allowed as Amway-owned brand names in text can be used under “Personal Information”.
2. ABO registers an Instagram® account and changes the name as “@amwayking”. This is not allowed as “Amway” cannot be used in username.
3. ABO registers a Facebook® account and changes the name as “My Nutrilite Account”. This is not allowed as Nutrilite, an Amway-owned brand name, cannot be used in username.
